Meine letzte Packliste ist schon gut 2 Jahre her, damals gehörten noch Breipulver und Windeln ins Gepäck.
Höchste Zeit für eine neue aktuelle Packliste.

Was soll ins Handgepäck?

Unsere Kleine nimmt einen kleinen Kinderkoffer mit, wir einen Rucksack.

• Reisepässe,
• Tickets,
• ESTA Unterlagen für die USA,
• Papiere fürs Mietauto
• Auslandskrankenversicherung und
• Hotelinfos für alle Dokumente hab ich zu Weihnachten diese hübsche Tasche geschenkt bekommen, die kommt jetzt zum Einsatz, da hab ich alles beieinander
• Wasserflasche, einfach nach dem Sicherheitscheck wieder auffüllen
• Reisebuggy
• Cares Gurt, nach langem hin und her haben für uns entschieden so einen Gurt zu leihen
• Toilettenartikel inklusive der wichtigsten Medikamente für unsere Kleine
• Ganz wichtig für mich persönlich Handcreme, im Flugzeug bekomme ich immer furchtbar trockene Hände
• Eine Runde Klamotten für jeden von uns, man weiß ja nie ob das Gepäck gleichzeitig mit uns ankommt und unsere Kleine ist zwar seit einer Weile trocken, aber Unfälle passieren…
• Unsere neueste Errungenschaft, unsere Reisetöpfchen, kann entweder als Minitoilette benutzt werden oder als hygienischer Sitzverkleinerer für öffentliche Toiletten
• Plastiktüten
• Feucht- und Taschentücher
• Desinfektionstücher
• Regenschirm und Regenschutz, wenn es am Ankunftstag regnen sollte
• Kamera und Handy
• Ausländische Währung

Kinderbeschäftigung im Flugzeug

Um während des Flugs keine Langeweile aufkommen zu lassen, wird der Kinderkoffer mit lauter spannenden Dingen gefüllt. Einige kleinere Spielsachen hab ich schon vor einigen Wochen außer Sichtweite geräumt, dann sind sie hoffentlich wieder aufregend, wenn wir sie während des Flugs hervorholen. Auch einige neue (Mal-)Bücher und Sticker finden sich im Koffer. Auch mit dem Ausfüllen unseres Reisetagebuchs werden wir im Flugzeug schon anfangen. Für den Hunger zwischendurch kommen einige kleine Leckereien ins Handgepäck. Das Lieblingskuscheltier natürlich. Der Koffer soll ein bisschen wie eine Schatzkiste oder Wundertüte funktionieren. Wenn gar nichts mehr geht, darf sie auch mal Fotos auf dem Handy gucken oder das I-Pad muss herhalten. Im besten Fall wird auch ein bisschen was von den 8h Flugzeit verschlafen.

Unsere restliches Gepäck

Wie beim letzten Mal haben wir einen Trekkingrucksack und eine große Sporttasche dabei.

• Adapter fürs Urlaubsland
• Ladekabel
• Alles für die Sonne: Sonnenhut, Sonnencreme, Schwimmflügel, Strandschuhe, after sun, unsere neuen Reisehandtücher, die sich extrem klein zusammenrollen lassen, einige kleine Wasserspielzeuge z.B. Spritztierem mit denen kann auch so gespielt werden, UV-Badeanzug
• Tipp: Um Platz zu sparen, kommen, Domino, Puzzle und Memorykarten in Plastiktütchen
• Babyphone
• Kleidung, im Schnitt ein Outfit für zwei Tage, muss ja noch ein bisschen Platz für die Shoppingausflüge sein
• Bequeme und etwas schickere Schuhe
• Ein schärferes Messer für Obst
• Lieblingssnacks, zumindest in den USA sind Quetschies und Co um einiges teurer
• Reisewaschmittel
• Spülmittel
• Eine Tupperdose für unterwegs
• Falls noch Platz ist, Urlaubslektüre für mich

Tipp: Ladet euch Straßenkarten aufs Handy runter, dann seid ihr im Urlaub nicht aufs WLAN angewiesen.

My last packing list  I made 2 years ago, at that time milk powder and diapers were still part of the luggage. Time for a new packing list.

Hand luggage?

Our little girl takes a small suitcase, we a backpack.

• Passports,
• tickets,
• ESTA documents for the USA,
• papers for the rental car
• foreign health insurance and
• hotel information for all these documents, I’ve got this pretty bag for Christmas, and finally can use it
• Water bottle, just refill after the security check
• Travel pushchair
• Cares belt, after a long time thinking back and forth we decided to borrow such a strap
• Toiletries including the most important medicines for our little one
  
• Very important for me personally hand cream, on the plane I always get terribly dry hands
• A round of clothes for each of us, you never know if the luggage arrives with us at the same time and our little one has been dry for a while, but accidents happen …
• Our latest addition, our travel potty, can be used either as a mini toilet or as a hygienic seat for public toilets
• Plastic bags
• Wet- and handkerchiefs
• Disinfectant wipes
• Umbrella and rain cover, if it should rain on the day of arrival
• Camera and mobile phone
• Foreign currency

Child employment in the airplane

In order to avoid boredom during the flight, the suitcase is filled with all kinds of exciting things. A few weeks ago I cleared some of the smaller toys out of sight, so hopefully they’ll be exciting again if we bring them to the airplane. Also some new (painting) books and stickers can be found in the suitcase. We will also start writing our travel diary. For getting hungry in between, some small treats come with us. The favorite stuffed animal of course. The suitcase should work a bit like a treasure chest or a surprise bag. If nothing works, she may also look at photos on the phone or the I-pad must serve. In the best case, some the 8h flying time she will sleep.

Like last time we take a trekking backpack and a big sports bag.

• Chargers
• Everything for the sun: sun hat, sunscreen, water wings, beach shoes, after sun, our new travel towels, which can be rolled up extremely small, some small water toys, for example splashing animals, UV swimsuit
• Tipp: To save space, dominoes, puzzles and memory cards are packed in plastic bags
• Baby monitor
• Clothes, on average one outfit for two days, there must be still some space for shopping
• Comfortable and a little nicer shoes
• A sharper knife for fruit
• Favorite snacks, at least in the US squeezing bags and Co are a lot more expensive
• Travel detergents
• Tupper ware for on the road
• Dish liquid
• If there is still room, books for me

Tip: Download street maps on your mobile phone, then you are not dependent on Wi-Fi.
