Endlich ist der Sommer da und alle zieht es an die Seen oder den Rhein.
Wer sich noch nicht unbedingt mit 1000 anderen mittenrein ins Gewusel stürzen will, oder an der Schwimmbadkasse Schlange stehen will, für die hab ich einen kleinen Geheimtipp, ein Ausflug an die Dhünn.

Spaziergang an der Dhünn

Wir parken an der Skate Anlage am Schulzentrum Odenthal.
Tipp: Roller oder Rad mitnehmen hier können selbst kleine Kids schon die ersten Hügel bezwingen. Aber da heben wir uns zum Abschluss auf, sonst wären wir wahrscheinlich nicht vom Fleck gekommen.
Wir laufen ne Weile an der Dhünn entlang, es gibt hier viele kleine Ministeinstrände, zum Damm bauen, picknicken und das Wasser ist nicht besonders kalt, so dass fleissig geplanscht wird. An einer Stelle findet Ihr sogar eine Schaukel über den Bach. Wir drehen nur eine relativ kleine Runde, 2-3km, lässt sich aber beliebig ausdehnen.

Wer den Ausflug mit ein bisschen Kultur und/oder Kinderbespassung kombinieren will, nicht weit entfernt ist der Märchenwald und der Dom zu Altenberg.

Walk along the Dhünn

We park at the skate park at the school center Odenthal.
Tip: Take a scooter or bike with you, here even little kids can conquer the hilly parcours. But we saved the that one for the end, otherwise we probably would have stayed the rest of the day here..
We walk a while along the Dhünn, there are many small mini beaches, to build dams, picnic and the water is not particularly cold, so the kids have fun splashing around. At one point you will even find a swing across the little river. We only do a relatively small round, 2-3km, but one can be extended as desired.

Who wants to combine the trip with a bit of culture and /or some kids fun, not far away is the fairy tale forest and the cathedral of Altenberg.
