Kölner Philharmonie
Für alle, die im Kölner Umland wohnen bietet die Kölner Philharmonie Konzerterlebnisse auch für die ganz Kleinen an. Für Babys bis zu 12 Monaten auf dem Arm, in der Trage, im Kinderwagen oder auf einer Decke. Für Kinder zwischen 1 und 3 Jahren zum mitsingen -summen und -tanzen und dank dem Tipp einer Bekannten haben wir uns in ein Familienkonzert für 3-6 Jährige Kinder gewagt. Kennt ihr ähnliche Angebote in anderen Städten?
Unser Eindruck
Ein Bürgerhaus, sprich wirklich schick machen muss man sich nicht, ein Innenhof wo die kids ohne Gefahr rumrennen können bis es losgeht. Die Tür wird 15min vor der Vorstellung geöffnet. Es empfiehlt sich einigermaßen früh da zu sein, damit man sich einen Platz weit vorne sichern kann. Tickets gibt es entweder vor Ort oder online. Die Toiletten sind zwar nic
ht babytauglich, dafür steht im Veranstaltungsraum ein Wickeltisch mit Windeln und Feuchttüchern bereit, da hat doch mal jemand mitgedacht!
Das Stück war eine Mischung aus klassischer Musik, Theater, Gesang und Tanz. Das Ganze hat 40min gedauert viel länger hätten die Kleinen aber auch nicht durchgehalten. Ehrlich gesagt meins war das Stück nicht wirklich, aber den Kindern hat es gefallen. Für die ganz Kleinen ist das Stück “Der Wolf und der Mond” allerdings noch etwas zu früh, der Wolf war den Jüngsten dann doch etwas unheimlich. Aber trotzdem total süß all die Fragen um uns herum, “Wie, wo, was, warum?” und die Faszination mit der die Bühne beobachtet wurde. merkte man auch daran, dass es für so viele Kinder relativ ruhig im Saal war. Eigene Getränke und Snacks für den Nachwuchs sind übrigens erlaubt. Im Anschluss an die Vorstellung durften die Kinder mit den Darstellern dann noch selbst ein bisschen Tanzen! Sehr schön gemacht.
Mal was ganz anderes, aber ein schöne Alternative für einen Wochenendausflug mit der family.
Culture with a child – why not?!
In a previous life, before my little family, I was regulary in museums, theater, cinema or at concerts. Since the birth of my little one, such events are somehow no longer on our agenda. Why not? I have to confess, although I have often heard of the possibility of attending a concert with a baby during the day or go to the cinema, but I have never done it. There are really great offers.
Tip: Under the terms pram or diaper bag cinema as well as museum with baby, you will hopefully find something suitable in your area as well!
Cologne Philharmonic
For all who live in Cologne, the Cologne Philharmonic offers concerts for even the little ones. For babies up to 12 months on the arm, in the stretcher, in the stroller or on a blanket. For children between 1 and 3 years to sing-and-dance and thanks to the tip of a friend we have tried out a family concert for 3-6 year old children.

The concerts take place at different locations around and in Cologne. Most times on weekends and in the afternoon.The price for both parents and a child is around 15€. Usually we like to spend our weekends in a wildlife park or at a swimming pool, but a bit of culture with a child is something different and I’m glad we tried it out.
Our impression
A courtyard welcomes us where the kids can run around without danger until it begins. The door will be opened 15min before the show. No necessity for dressing up. It is advisable to be there early enough so that you can be sure to find a place in the front rows. Tickets are available either on site or online. The toilets are not suitable for babies, but there is a changing table with diapers and wet wipes ready in the event room!
The concert was a mixture of classical music, theater, song and dance. The whole thing took about 40 minutes longer but the little ones could not keep up longer anyway. Honestly the play was not completely mine, but the kids liked it. For the very young, however, the piece “The Wolf and the Moon” is still a bit too early, the wolf was a bit scary to the youngest. But sweet all the questions around us, “how, where, what, why?” and the fascination while watching the stage. One also noticed that it was relatively quiet for so many children in the hall. Own drinks and snacks for the kids are allowed. After the performance, the children were allowed to dance a bit with the performers themselves! Well done.
Something completely different, but a nice alternative for a weekend trip.
