Knappe 1000 km Richtung Süden und schon sind wir da…. in unserer Ferienwohnung im Garda Village Resort.

Unsere Unterkunft

Die Anlage besteht aus einzelnen Häusern und Wohnungen, die nur teilweise an Touristen vermietet werden, der Rest ist in Privatbesitz. Was mir ganz gut gefallen hat, jedes Haus sieht anders aus, keine Retortensiedlung. Unsere Wohnung war einfach eingerichtet, aber alles vorhanden was man so braucht inklusive ein kleines Begrüßungspaket mit Wein und Snacks, nur eine Kleinigkeit, aber ich finde dadurch fühlt man sich direkt willkommen! Ein schöner großer Balkon mit Blick auf einen der Pools. Urlaubsfeeling! Das Wasser im Pool war schon sehr frisch, kälter als der Gardasee! Nach dem ersten Kaffee in der Sonne haben wir uns mit frischen Brötchen vor Ort eingedeckt und sonst selbstversorgt oder sind essen gegangen.

Ab ans Wasser

Der See ist fussläufig erreichbar. Wir haben zwei Strände ausprobiert:

Punta Gro

Hier könnt ihr euch gemütlich auf der Wiese oder auf dem Steg sonnen oder picknicken. Es waren aber auch Leute schwimmen. Im September ist hier auch bei schönem Wetter relativ wenig los. Ein paar Schwäne, Enten und Boote. Lauft ihr ein Stück weiter am See entlang landet ihr an einem kleinen Kiesstrand mit Minispielplatz, Bootsverleih und Cafe. Hier lässt es sich sowieso wunderschön am See spazieren gehen und die Kinder können ungestört rennen.

Noch ein Stück weiter am Campingplatz vorbei und ihr landet am nächsten Strand. Wir sind dort allerdings mit dem Auto hingefahren.

Lugana

Neben einer Liegewiese gibts hier einen Kiesstrand, einen kleinen Hafen, Spielplatz und auch hier relativ viel Schatten. Der See geht super flach rein und ist um einiges wärmer als unser Pool!
Tipp: Badeschuhe für die ganze Familie einpacken, die Steine piksen.
Für Eis und lecker Pizza gehts ins Silk mit Spielfläche und Trampolinen, perfekt! Außerdem könnt ihr euch hier Tretboote leoihen.
Tipp: Wenn in Lugano Markt ist könnt ihr zwar euren Seetag mit einem Marktbesuch verknüpfen, parken wird dann aber schwierig, versucht es hinter der Kirche.

Peschiera del Garda

Nicht weit entfernt liegt das süße Städtchen Peschiera del Garda, direkt am kleinen Hafen könnt ihr parken. Wir laufen am Wassergraben entlang zur Porta Brescia, und sind begeistert von der Altstadt mit seinen verwinkelten Gässchen, unzähligen Cafés, Geschäften und Restaurants. Zum Abkühlen rennen wir ein paar Mal durch die Springbrunnen auf der Piazza. Am Kanal fühlt mansich fast ein bisschen wie in Venedig, wir sind begeistert!Hoch oben über der Stadt mit Blick auf die Stadt findet ihr einen schönen schattigen Spielplatz mit Blick auf den Gardasee, herrlich, die Kinder klettern und spielen während wir Mamas uns eine Eisauszeit gönnen, so könnte es doch jeden Tag sein.

Tipp: Kostenlose Toiletten findet ihr einmal die Treppe runter. Der Spielplatz ist aber auch mit Buggy zu erreichen.
Auch wenn wir nicht super viel unternommen haben und immer wieder am Pool lagen um zu relaxen, lädt die Gegend um den Gardasee auf jeden Fall zum Wiederkommen ein!

Just 1000 km to the south and here we are …. in our apartment at the Garda Village Resort.

Our accommodation

The complex consists of individual houses and apartments, which are only partially rented to tourists, the rest is privately owned. What I really liked, every house looks different, no retort settlement. Our apartment was simply furnished, but everything was there what you need including a small welcome pack with wine and snacks, just a small thing, but I think this makes you feel directly welcome! A nice big balcony overlooking one of the pools. Holiday feeling! The water in the pool was pretty cold, colder than the lake Garda! After the first coffee in the sun, we stocked up with fresh bread on site and otherwise self-catering or went out to eat.

Off to the water

The lake is within walking distance. We tried out two beaches:

Punta Gro

Here you can sunbathe or picnic on the lawn or on the jetty. Some people went swimming. In September, there is relatively little going on here even in good weather. A few swans, ducks and boats. If you walk a little further along the lake you will land on a small pebble beach with a mini playground, boat rental and cafe. Anyway, you can go for a beautiful walk at the lake and the children can run.

A little further pasing a campsite and you end up at the next beach. However, we went there by car.

Lugana

In addition to a sunbathing area there is a pebble beach, a small harbor, playground and also here a lot of shade. The lake is super flat and is a lot warmer than our pool!
Tip: Pack bathing shoes for the whole family.
For ice cream and delicious pizza off to Silk with a play area and trampolines, perfect! You can also rent pedal boats here.
Tip: If there is a market in Lugano, you can combine your day at the lake with a market visit, but parking is difficult, try behind the church.

Peschiera del Garda

Not far away is the cute little town Peschiera del Garda, directly at the small harbor you can park. We walk along the moat to the Porta Brescia, and are thrilled with the old town with its winding streets, countless cafes, shops and restaurants. To cool down we run a few times through the fountains in the piazza. At the canals it feels almost a bit like in Venice, we are thrilled! High above the city you will find a beautiful shaded playground overlooking Lake Garda, gorgeous, the children climb and play while we enjoy an ice-cream break .That’s how it should be every day.
Tip: You can find free toilets down the stairs once. The playground can also be reached by stroller.
Even though we did not do a much and spend quite a lot a time at the pool to relax, the area around Lake Garda invites you to come back!
