Der nächste Urlaub, das ist die große Preisfrage! Wann? Wie? Wo? Was?
Letztes Jahr haben wir einen Corona tauglichen Urlaub in den Niederlanden verbracht und drücken die Daumen, dass es dieses Jahr wieder klappen wird.
Ferienhaus in Drenthe
Ein Ferienhaus soll es sein, klar. Ich habe mich ganz bewusst gegen Strandnähe entschieden, warum? Schließlich wollen da doch alle hin. Allerdings wollte ich den Satz “Abstand halten” am Meer nicht ständig zu meiner Kleinen sagen müssen, wenn sie logischerweise mit fremden Kindern spielen will.
Statt Meer gibt es diesmal ein Ferienhaus mit eigenem Pool. Es ist nicht so, dass ich nicht lieber in Deutschland geblieben wäre. Allerdings, im Sommer spontan, ein Ferienhaus mit Pool zu bekommen und dann noch während Corona, keine Chance.
In Holland haben wir noch ein Häuschen bekommen, mitten im nirgendwo, in Drenthe. Eine Ecke in der wir unter normalen Umständen kaum Ferien gemacht hätten. Für den ersten Coronasommer genau richtig, in dem kleinen Ort Taarlo gibt es mehr Tiere als Menschen. Ein Bauernhaus, mit riesen Garten und nem Pool, einer Feurschale für die obligatorischen Marshmallows und eine ehemalige Schneune mit Kicker, Tischtennis und einem altholländischen Spiel, namens sjoelen von dem wir nicht genug bekommen können. Dahinter die Pferdeweide, Idylle pur.
Hunebed D15
Direkt vor der Haustür starten wir entlang des Taarlosche diep unsere erste kleine Wanderung zu unserem ersten Hunebed, dieses Urlaubs. Die 5000 Jahre alten Hünengräber gehören zu den ältesten Baudenkmäler Hollands.
Meine Kleine ist begeistert und stellt eine Frage nach der anderen. Lustigerweise nimmt während unseres Besuchs gerade eine irisch-holländische Folkband, (ja so was gibt es), hier ihr Video auf. So kommen wir noch zu einem gratis Konzert.
Unser erstes, aber nicht unser letztes Hünengrab in diesem Urlaub, gibt hier in der Gegend nämlich jede Menge.
The next vacation, that’s the big prize question! When? How? Where? What?
Last year we spent a Corona-conform vacation in the Netherlands, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will work out again this year.
Vacation home in Drenthe
It should be a holiday house, of course. I deliberately decided not to go to the beach, why? After all, that’s where everyone wants to go. However, I didn’t want to have to constantly say the phrase “keep your distance” to my little one at the sea, when she logically wants to play with other children.
Instead of the sea, this time there’s a vacation home with its own pool. It’s not that I would have preferred to stay in Germany. However, in the summer spontaneously, a vacation home with pool and during Corona, no chance.
In Holland we still got a cottage, in the middle of nowhere, in Drenthe. A corner where we would hardly have spent our vacations under normal circumstances. Just right for the first Corona summer, in the small village Taarlo there are more animals than people. A farmhouse with a huge garden and a pool, a fire bowl for the obligatory marshmallows and a former snow with foosball, table tennis and an old Dutch game called sjoelen that we can’t get enough of. Behind the house some horses, pure idyll.
Hunebed D15
Directly in front of the door we start along the Taarlosche diep our first small hike tour to a Hunebed. The 5000 year old hunebeds are among the oldest monuments in Holland.
My little one is thrilled and asks question after question. Funnily enough, during our visit, an Irish-Dutch folk band (yes, there is such a thing) is recording their video here. Private concert just for us.
Our first, but not our last hunebed this vacation, there are a lot more here in the area.
